Both tones are the colours in which the wool comes from the animal — one from light goats, the other from dark ones. \u003cstrong\u003eNothing was dyed here.\u003c\/strong\u003e The whole pattern arises solely from the two being woven alternately.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom two metres away you can no longer see the stripes; then it is a light, warm wrap, calm and unobtrusive. Only up close does it become clear that each of these lines is a thread of its own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStripes like these are harder to weave than wide ones. The narrower the change, the more often it has to happen, and the more precisely each individual thread has to sit; an inaccuracy of one millimetre is noticeable in a stripe two millimetres wide, but not in one a centimetre wide.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo twisted threads, 12 gauge, 15.3 microns — 90 grams on 76 × 204 cm (30 × 80 in). Warmer than a summer wrap, lighter than a winter scarf.
