It is embroidered in gold and ochre, its outline drawn in fine chain stitches, the inside filled with flowers in cream and white. Tendrils run from it across the surface, and a narrow embroidered band follows the edge. The rest of the wrap remains free — the motif needs the space, otherwise it loses its calm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe embroidery is done with a needle, stitch by stitch, without a stencil and without a machine. Anyone who has seen such work once understands why it cannot be repeated: the embroiderer follows no template, but the fabric lying under her hands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe ground itself is made of the finest cashmere we carry — \u003cstrong\u003e14.8 microns\u003c\/strong\u003e. Four twisted threads, densely woven at 12 gauge, 120 grams on 196 × 70 cm (77 × 28 in): thicker than a summer wrap, lighter than a winter scarf, and thus a piece you wear all year round.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e25 to 28 days\u003c\/strong\u003e of work have gone into it.
