This beautiful, cosy and very high-quality blanket made of cashmere, sheep wool and viscose is the perfect companion all year round. Thanks to the special thermal properties of cashmere, it is particularly warming in the cooler months, while still being light and feeling wonderfully soft.

As this is a purely natural product, there may be slight variations in colour and size. The incidence of light and the type of light source can also slightly affect how the colour appears.

Care instructions:

The combination of fine cashmere wool, natural sheep wool and supple viscose gives this blanket its particular softness, its pleasing drape and its high level of comfort. With the right care, the natural properties of the fibres and the quality of its appearance are preserved for many years.

✓ Air it regularly rather than washing it often
It is often enough to air the blanket in the fresh air. The natural fibres can absorb odours and release them again, which keeps the blanket fresh for a long time.

✓ Gentle machine washing is possible
The blanket can be washed on a wool or delicates programme at a maximum of 30 °C. Use a mild wool detergent or a pH-neutral shampoo and select a low spin speed. For additional protection, a laundry bag is recommended.

✓ Alternatively: hand washing
Hand washing in cold to lukewarm water (max. 30 °C) with a mild wool or delicates detergent or a pH-neutral shampoo is also suitable for gentle cleaning.

✓ Do not rub, wring or pull hard
The blanket should only be moved gently while washing. Vigorous rubbing or wringing can distort the fibres and impair the soft surface.

✓ Remove water gently
After washing, press the water out of the blanket carefully and then roll it in a clean towel to absorb excess moisture.

✓ Dry flat
Reshape the blanket into its original form on a flat surface and let it dry lying flat. Do not hang it up, as the weight of the moisture itself can stretch the fibres. Do not tumble dry.

✓ Protect from heat and direct sunlight
Direct sun, radiators or other strong sources of heat can dry out the fibres and affect the colours.

✓ Store with care
The blanket should be stored clean and completely dry. For longer storage, breathable fabric bags and natural moth protection are recommended, for example cedar wood or lavender sachets.

✓ Professional cleaning when needed
For heavier soiling or delicate finishes, professional cleaning may be the best choice. Always observe the care instructions on the label.

Coarsely woven, built for warmth

Twelve single threads twisted into one yarn, 12 gauge, and a deliberately coarse, voluminous weave. It needs more wool and more time: 28 to 30 days at the hand loom.

The cashmere content measures 15.3 micron – undercoat of the Chyangra goat from the high pastures of the Himalaya. The sheep wool gives body and durability, the viscose suppleness and drape.

How to store your cashmere products

Cashmere is a particularly fine and luxurious natural fibre. Storing it correctly helps to preserve its exceptional softness, shape and quality for many years.

Regular care

  • Cashmere binds odours inside the fibre and releases them again when aired. Airing the blanket regularly in the fresh air is often enough.
  • Avoid direct sunlight while airing.
  • Light lint or pilling can be removed carefully with a cashmere comb.

Washing

  • Wash only when necessary.
  • Hand wash in cold to lukewarm water (max. 30 °C).
  • Use a special wool or cashmere detergent.
  • Do not rub, brush or wring the blanket.

Drying

  • After washing, press the water out carefully or roll the blanket in a towel to remove excess water.
  • Then dry it flat and in shape.
  • Do not hang it up, as the fibres can lose their shape.
  • Do not use a tumble dryer.

Professional cleaning

  • For larger cashmere blankets we recommend gentle dry cleaning, particularly in the case of heavy soiling.
  • The care instructions on the label always take precedence.

Storage

  • Store only when clean and completely dry.
  • Protect against moths, for example with cedarwood or lavender sachets.
